Community Matches Enjoyed our Annual Holiday Party on Dec. 12

Our Littles met Santa and prepared gifts for their  families for the holidays.

Bigs and Littles from our Community-Based mentoring program had a great time at our Annual Holiday Party on Saturday, December 12th. Matches enjoyed many activities including crafts, STEM (science) activities and even picked out gifts for their families at our gift table. Santa made an appearance and there was live music the Holy Cross Fools on the Hill and even a performance by magician Christopher Grace! Many of our Littles received brand new bicycles donated by FedEx. Special shout out and thanks to Rene Van Beekom from FedEx for coordinating the donation!   Check out pictures from the event here!

The BIG Match Challenge was a Success: BBBS CM/MW Awarded $20,000 in Matching Funds from the Amelia Peabody Foundation

This year, the Amelia Peabody Foundation, which has been providing our agency funding for the College Mentor Program for 10 years, challenged us and our former Bigs with a matching gift, coined "The BIG Match Challenge." The Foundation declared that if we could raise $20,000 in new donations this year to support our College Mentor Program at Great Brooke Valley in Worcester, MA, they would give us an additional $20,000. On December 1st, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Mass./ Metrowest proudly announced that we were able to raise the money and will be awarded an additional $20,000 in matching funds. Read more about how we raised the first $20,000 here!
