The Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs, in partnership with The Beacon Council, Miami-Dade County's official economic development organization, The Coalition of Miami-Dade County Chambers of Commerce and the Arts & Business Council of Miami, has launched a Business and the Arts Initiative to examine how local businesses support non-profit arts activities.
We need your help to better understand how and why local businesses (small and large) support the arts in Miami-Dade County, and why developing a more integrated business and arts sector helps promote the development of Miami-Dade's diverse economy and workforce.
Please take a few minutes to complete this brief online survey by Friday, November 6, 2015. Individual responses provided will be kept confidential and will only be used in analyzing the aggregate responses.
Your participation and support is instrumental for Miami-Dade's economic vitality and for continuing to build an exciting international cultural community for you, your employees and our families to enjoy.

As we honor our brave men and women who have served in the United States Armed Forces today, we are grateful to have had the opportunity last week to join our partners at MIA and Edge4vets in a job fair for veterans sponsored by Carnival Corporation. The spectacular luncheon was held at the Hyatt Regency Miami. It is a pleasure to serve on the Academy of Hospitality and Tourism Board.
