Greetings Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ! With great joy do we anticipate the first visit of Pope Francis to the United States in September 2015.

Most will join through prayer and participate as spectators via broadcast and social media. Yet, why not amp up this historic experience by using the catechesis on family life (see item #1, below) in our parishes, dioceses and faith formation groups. Also, check out more exciting events coming soon and other good news worth sharing with your networks.

--Initiate or join a Bible Study group in your vicariate/deanery, parish, ministry, home, school or job. Find timely, practical and step-by-step resources here.

--Purchase and use
The African American Catholic Youth Bible. It's available in hardback, soft cover and e-book formats. Enjoyed by youth and adults. Take a look at what this Bible has to offer. Also, see attached NBCC info sheet for talking points.

--What a perfect opportunity to fan the desire for bible study in Catholic circles! Announce gathering details by twitter, Instagram and Facebook, in addition to bulletin and newsletter notices.

--Hold a contest for the best sharable images, participants' quotes and news of diocesan and parish bible study initiatives in your area.  Email winning results to dgrimes@usccb.org for posting on the USCCB website.
