Lights, Camera, Action!

AFFresno hosted its first "French Film Night" on Friday, August 28th, showing the modern French classic "Amelie." For some members, it was the first time to our new office space. Members enjoyed casual conversation time, plus some excellent wine, cheese, popcorn, and fruit before viewing the movie. The monetary donations received that helps make our own office space possible were appreciated!  The Alliance looks forward to making "French Film Night" a regular tradition to occur at least once each month. Upcoming movie titles will be listed in the newsletter, and if there is a special title you would like to see or have on DVD to share, contact us on our website at affresno.org

Exciting French classes are happening
at 4747 N. First St. #103

The Alliance French language classes have always stood out by providing native speaking teachers and a very small pupil to teacher ratio. With our own office space, we have the ability to work with class members to provide flexible schedules based on member needs. In addition, we have access to TVMonde and wifi to add more visuals to our classes. Our classes this session have increased in length from 10 to 11 weeks. This is a great time to learn French and meet some great new friends as well.  Hurry, classes start the week of Sept 7th!

Vendanges Dinner October 16, 2015

This year we are enhancing our traditional Beaujolais Nouveau to introduce various wine regions from France. This Fall, the Vendanges Dinner (French for Harvest Dinner) will feature wines from the Bourgogne region of France, whose vineyards extend south from Dijon to the north of Lyon. The wines will be paired with recipes from the area. Because of the growing popularity of our events, the Alliance Francaise de Fresno has decided to host the event in Clovis at the Classic Catering dinning room located at  625 Fourth Street. More information will be sent to you shortly.
