Dear Street's Hope Supporter,

As always, thank you for taking the time to stay updated with the latest Street's Hope eNews! We truly appreciate your investment in our organization. In addition to our residents' daily treatment, they are also keeping busy with some fun activities this summer brought to us by volunteers. They always look forward to the community dinners, "girl's nights," and special activities like their upcoming Bear Valley & Women of Vision picnics. We hope you are also enjoying these summer months!

We were fortunate to recently welcome three great additions to our Board of Directors: Cici Peterson, Greg Fuchs, and Katherine Rushing.  To learn more about them, check out their bios below!
Meet Our New Board Members:
Greg (Right), Cici (top Left), Katherine (bottom Left)

Meet: Cici Peterson , MBA, Professional Retired
"Three years ago, I was invited to an Easter service at Restoration Community Church; for every guest, money was donated to iEmpathize. The video shown of two young girls abducted from a Wendy's and forced to work truck stops broke my heart.  Later that year, I helped put an iEmathize event on for our church and friends.  By then, I was all in for supporting organizations that rescue and restore trafficked individuals.  I first heard of Streets Hope at a conference in May 2014.  I was drawn to volunteer and serve Street's Hope.  I look forward to teaching a life skills class this month on Money Smarts 101- budgeting, banking, credit cards, FICO scores, etc.  I also volunteer weekly at The Gathering Place.  I have had a variety of board and volunteer positions since I retired  when our third child was small.  I am a lucky wife and mother of three adult children ages 21-27 and 3 dogs."

Meet: Greg FuchsMA, Director of Denver Urban Semester & Chaplain, Mile High Ministries

Went to Hope College for my BA in Business and Denver Seminary for a MA in youth and family ministries, received a Master Certificate from Regis U in Non-Profit Management in Leadership.  Worked in youth ministry and for Young Life, then w orked at Denver Street Street School and Third Way treatment center for 3 years before starting Denver Urban Semester 7 years ago t hrough Mile High Ministries. Denver Urban Semester is a reflective visionary cross-cultural leadership development non-profit that serves college students moving into careers and has served over 280 college students that past seven years.

Meet: Katherine RushingLandman II, Anadarko Petroleum Corporation
"I'm Katherine Rushing, and I work as a landman for an oil and gas company. I grew up in northern Colorado and when I moved to Denver a few years ago, I wanted to find a way to tangibly serve the people here. When I heard about Street's Hope, I jumped at the chance to get involved. For the past three years, a few other women and I have had dinner and 'girls' night' about twice a month with the ladies. We have a ton of fun, and it's so rewarding to see these resilient women so full of hope for their lives and encouraged by the support they get at Street's Hope. I'm excited to begin serving the women of Street's Hope in a new way as a board member!"

In close, we want to wish you and your family a wonderful Independence Day weekend. We are grateful for our many freedoms, which always remind us of those whom are not free today. We appreciate your effort to help us free women exploited in the sex industry.

With grateful hearts,

Street's Hope Staff & Board of Directors
