Welcome Back! Happy New School Year! We enjoyed visiting with all of our families at New Parent Orientation last Thursday and Open House yesterday, and we look forward to a wonderful start to the school year.

Dear Lord, As we begin this new school year, we gather once again as your community of believers.
We thank you for the energy and the spirit that you renewed in us through the summer months.
We thank you for the time to enjoy our family and friends and to reflect on what is important in our lives.
Let this year be marked by enthusiasm and love so that, with the inspiration of your Spirit, we may continue to grow in our faith.
Help us to fulfill Your hope for us with honest intentions and works of faith.
Let us be gentle with ourselves and bring laughter, joy and love to others.

Safety Update
All teachers will be reviewing safety drills and procedures for fires, earthquakes and intruder situations with their students this week. A note is also going home today to remind you to bring in your emergency pack no later than next Friday, August 28th.
As parents, please remember to model safe behavior for your children. Please follow all traffic rules and safety rules when picking up and dropping off your children at school. Please stop at all stop signs, use the crosswalks for walking to and from your car and do not double park at any time. Thank you for helping us keep every child safe at St. Leander.
