Environmental Farm Plan Stewardship Award Winner Announced!
Congratulations to Winding River Farm on receiving the 2015 Environmental Farm Stewardship Award last night (Nov 26) at the NSFA Annual Meeting Banquet. Winding River Farm received a painting of their farm painted by local artist, Virginia Houston. The stewardship efforts that are taking place on Winding River Farms can be found

Colchester County corn harvest will yield aid for Syrian refugees
FORT ELLIS - End Hunger.
That's what Ian MacHattie's black shirt reads, and that's why he and a dozen other volunteers will be donating their time Friday morning on a nine-hectare Colchester County cornfield.
"We don't want to show off," MacHattie said of the volunteers who have helped plant, fertilize and spray the corn in a field along Highway 2 near Stewiacke that was donated for the season by Steven and Paulette Nielsen.
