Record year for ROTOCON
At the end of a hugely successful year for the ROTOCON team, with sales totalling some R100-million, Gill Loubser of PACKAGiNG & Print Media quizzes Michael Aengenvoort about the underlying reasons for such stellar sales achievements.

All-round success for ROTOCON's principals at Labelexpo
Among ROTOCON's numerous success stories at Labelexpo Europe were sales of three MPS presses into Southern Africa, one Screen digital press, and two RotoControl units. Additionally, Germany's RotoControl, headed up by Marco Aengenvoort, clocked up 15 sales at the show, a variety of booklet label, digital finishing and inspection machines.

Rotocon Trail draw winners
During Labelexpo Europe, we held a draw for South African attendees who participated in the ROTOCON Trail by visiting each of our 7 principals exhibiting at the show (MPS, RotoControl, Screen Europe, Matho, Pantec GS Systems, AVT, and Wink).

MPS unveils partnership with Domino
Following pre-show announcements that MPS would present a new hybrid press at Labelexpo Europe, the company used the show to unveil its partnership with Domino in the development of the new EF SYMJET - a symbiotic combination of a flexo press on the standard MPS EF platform and a Domino digital N610i inkjet printer.
Celebrated at Labelexpo Europe was the first SYMJET press sold during the show to Optikett, a progressive printer in Germany.

GM Graphix goes UV LED with 3rd MPS press
South Africa's first flexo press to use UV LED curing has been ordered by GM Graphix, the company's third MPS press. GM Graphix is a loyal MPS customer spanning many years, and proud owner of the very first MPS press sold in South Africa.

Zim's LabelCo signs two-fold contract
The first MPS flexo press and Rotocontrol slitter rewinder are heading for Zimbabwe. On order for LabelCo is a high-end MPS EF 430mm web width, 8 colour multi-substrate flexo printing press built with an automation package including job memory, and an RSC slitter rewinder from Rotocontrol combining 100% servo motor control, cartridge slitting system, vertical inspection zone, automatic tension control, strobocope and an additional splice table.

JMB Labels Orders Second MPS Flexo Press
Africa's first MPS EB label printing press has been ordered by JMB Labels. Ordered during Labelexpo Europe, the press features predictable high-quality label printing, reliable productivity, and operator-friendly press operation.
