Animal Fairy Charities Presents Reward to Person Who Helped Convict Animal Abuser

Milwaukee, WI, September 10th, 2015- Animal Fairy Charities announced today that they will be presenting a reward to the citizen who brought forth information which led to the conviction of the person responsible for Beatrice's (the Milwaukee badly burned dog) life threatening injuries.

The presentation will be held at the Milwaukee Emergency Center for Animals on Tuesday, September 15th, 2015 at 11:30 am.

On March 13, 2014, Beatrice had mysteriously disappeared from her home. It was not until 11 days later that she was found wandering near Potawatomi Bingo and Casino with over 90% of her body badly burned.

Beatrice was then rushed to the Milwaukee Emergency Center for Animals.

After Beatrice was found, it became known that she was taken from the safety of her own backyard. Due to the severity of her injuries, it was clear that the abuse was done purposely.

Dr. Marla Lichtenberger, critical care specialist and the owner of the Milwaukee Emergency Center for Animals along with the help of John A Weigelt, DVM, MD: Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin performed groundbreaking surgery to save Beatrice's life by attaching pigskin to help Beatrices' burns heal.

In addition to paying for Beatrice's' medical expenses, Animal Fairy Charities offered a $2000 reward to anyone who had information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons who committed this horrible crime.

Hearing about the reward, a citizen turned in the offender and 22 year old Christopher Hanson was charged and convicted of the crime.

The reward recipient is a neighbor of Christopher Hanson, the man convicted. This neighbor was approached by Hanson's girlfriend and was shown the crime scene. After viewing the horrible scene she contacted Animal Fairy Charities, then the police.

"We are very pleased to reward  this model citizen," said Deb Lopez of Animal Fairy Charities.  "Beatrice and her family can rest a little better knowing the person responsible can no longer hurt any other animals," Lopez added.
