Living in this state I have come to love the ocean and all the joy it gives us. To even think we may see beach weather soon I am having day dreams about going to the beach, crushing oysters and drinking crisp whites that make me giddy as a 4 yr old waiting to build his first sand castle. While we aren't quite ready for the beach I found Oyster Sauvignon Blanc, a wine that not only speaks to my insatiable appetite for awesomely crisp, mineral whites to have with seafood but also speaks to my inner hippie.

 

Proud Pour was created by Berlin Kelly as a way to connect her passion for high-quality, sustainable foods and wines with her concern for the environment. Berlin's project is to rebuild the Oyster reefs of the East Coast to historic levels which were 100 times what they currently are today by creating a truly delicious Sauvignon Blanc that will replace 100 oysters for every bottle sold. To me, this is a win-win for us as this species of tasty bivalves cleans our oceans, helps prevent erosion and provides habitat for other yummy treats like fish, crabs and lobster.
