Broadcasting the Freight Message in the Heart of Texas
Join the WTS-HOT Chapter for a day-long focus on the role of freight in the Heart of Texas region (and beyond).
- Panelists include representatives from TxDOT, NASCO, Williamson County, Union Pacific Railroad, and United Parcel Service.
- The opening session will help us realize the importance and impact of freight on our region.
- Our luncheon keynote speaker, State Senator Sylvia Garcia, will shine the light on some of the critical freight challenges we face today and in the future.
- The afternoon session will expose us to a greater understanding of how freight moves in our region.
- We'll wrap up the day with an exercise in freight planning, using fun and engaging table discussions to discover how to incorporate a freight perspective into our transportation and other planning efforts.
