James Blanchard "Jim" Condry died Thursday, January 21, 2016.  

Jim was an active member of the Springfield Metropolitan Bar and served his profession both locally and statewide through his work and leadership on numerous committees and advisory groups.

When a regional disciplinary council was established the SMBA leadership was tasked with nominating lawyers possessing the highest levels of discretion, professionalism and compassion.  Jim was the first person selected and he served in that role for over a decade.

Jim was not only well respected by his colleagues; he was extremely well liked. Jim was frequently asked by the SMBA to give presentations on the topic of collegiality, and he always graciously and humbly accepted the task.  At the time of his death he was a partner at the firm Wieland and Condry, LLC.  His law partner Dave Wieland said “Jim was the best lawyer, mediator, partner and friend a person could ever expect to have.” 

Our condolences to Jim’s wife and children, his law partners and the countless friends and colleagues who are so deeply grieving his passing.
