Secondary Inclusion Speaker Shares
Expertise with School Administrative Teams
Sixty six school Principals, Assistant Principals, Counselors and Curriculum Specialists along with district ESE Administrators attended a special training with Dr. Lisa Dieker on October 28th. Scheduling of this event was sparked by her book "Demystifying Secondary Inclusion" which was the selection for an ISRD ESE Specialists' Professional Learning Community (PLC) book study last year. Rave reviews from the PLC members prompted the decision to bring Dr. Dieker to speak to Principals and their school administrative teams about including students with disabilities in the general education classroom at the secondary level.
Participants indicated on their training evaluations that they felt the importance of this topic coupled with Dr. Dieker's expert knowledge and dynamic presentation style made this one of the most beneficial they had attended!
