Antique Pentatonic Cup Set
This six piece Pentatonic scale starts from a fourth octave C# and ascends to a high C# in the fifth. Sizes range from a 6 1/4" Dharma (pictured center) to a rare, circa 16th century Bodhi 4 5/8" (pictured center lower frame).
The creation of the Pentatonic scale is credited to a master musician in the court of the Yellow Emperor, who generated the scale from numerology. In the Zhou dynasty (approx. 3rd century BC), these notes became associated with the five elements of Chinese medicine.
The healing properties of this Western configured Pentatonic scale are compounded and enriched by the interweaving, flatted fifth harmonics of beautifully tuned singing bowls. This set is sublimely matched, one of our best yet. Please listen with headphones and enjoy!

Gongs
New Collection of Himalayan Flats & Burmese Nipple Gongs
In addition to a new collection of the etched Himalayan gongs familiar to our customers, we are now offering hand-forged Burmese gongs.
These are heavy-duty, bronze gongs with a deep, gently sloping lip - averaging 1.5" for a medium size gong. This unique, convex structure results in a distinctive, musical timbre with isolatable overtones depending how you play them. They are renown to be made in a meditative tradition, and seem to possess a consciousness of their own.
Unlike any other gong that we've seen, the boss can be played by hand to isolate a strong overtone that sounds like the fundamental of a singing bowl. This technique raises the Chi and tunes the body at the same time.
