Dr. Anne Meschke is a Top Doctor Rising Star!
Mpls St. Paul Magazine's October issue included their first annual list of "Top Doctors Rising Stars". We are excited to announce that Dr. Anne Meschke was one of the physicians honored. The list recognizes "Twin Cities physicians who have noteworthy achievements early in their careers." They were nominated by peers in their respective specialty. Dr. Meschke has been with Southdale ObGyn Consultants since she began practice as an ObGyn physician nine years ago. We are honored to have Dr. Meschke among the team of excellent physicians, nurse practitioners and staff in our practice. Congratulations Dr. Meschke---it's an honor well-deserved!

Flu Shots! Protect yourself and protect your family
We are now offering flu shots to ALL of our patients. The best way to prevent the flu is by getting a flu vaccine each year.
The CDC (Center for Disease Control) recommends that everyone aged 6 months and older get vaccinated annually for seasonal influenza (flu). This is especially important among high-risk groups, including pregnant women, older people, young children and newborns, and people with chronic illnesses.
The influenza vaccine is safe for pregnant women and their unborn children as well as postpartum and breastfeeding women and can be given during any trimester. Pregnant women are at increased risk for serious illness and death from the flu. Immunizing pregnant and postpartum women against seasonal influenza can protect the mother and may help her baby by preventing the spread of the flu from mother to child following delivery.
