Watch Your Mouth!

Article 15 of the Code of Ethics prohibits REALTORS® from making false or misleading statements about other real estate professionals, their businesses or their business practices (15- 2 & 3).  Further, the obligation to refrain from making false or misleading statements includes the duty to not knowingly or recklessly publish, repeat, retransmit or republish false or misleading statements made by others. It also requires the duty to publish a clarification or remove statements made by others on electronic media the REALTOR® controls once the REALTOR® knows the statement is false or misleading.

Social media has created a forum for individuals to share their feelings over the good, the bad and the ugly.  REALTORS®, however, should use caution when naming names of other professionals in the heat of the moment.  It could result in your receiving another type of communication:  "You have been named as the Respondent in an ethics hearing alleging violation of Article 15 of the REALTOR® Code of Ethics."

Keybox Exchange Event
April 28 - 29
For members who own their own key boxes.
If you currently own key boxes (iBoxes), you'll be swapping them out for the brand new Bluetooth iBox BT LE during an appointment tentatively scheduled April 28 - 29th at the Mississippi Trade Mart. Lookout for an email with the number of boxes our records indicates you have. In the meantime, start NOW locating your old boxes so you can easily get your hands on them for the one for one swap. The iBoxes we currently use are no longer made and come to us with half the battery life.  The new Bluetooth iBox BT LE is larger, holds more keys, and has a full seven-year battery life. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON THE KEY BOX SWAP IS COMING SOON!

For ANYONE who wishes to upgrade MLS keys:

No Key Fobs, No Monthly Fees,

& No Activation Fees for 60 Days

If you currently have a Display key and want to upgrade to the eKey, feel free to stop by the "Keybox Exchange Event" at any time over the two-day period to do so. The new iBox BT LE will communicate directly with smartphones and tablets eliminating the need for fobs. For your convenience, the $50 activation fee will be waived until June 29th and your MLS is absorbing all costs therefore you won't have a monthly fee!
