Meet & Greet - September 17
Parents are welcome to join us on September 17 from 6-8:15pm for our annual Meet and Greet (formerly known as Open House). Beginning at 6pm in the Field House will be a parent presentation. At 6:30pm parents will have the opportunity to do a practice "run through" of their students schedule.
Hartford Rotary Students of the Month
The Hartford Rotary is pleased to announce the senior Students of the Month for September are Taylor Kieckhefer and Austin Matthies. This honor is based on academics, character, leadership, co-curricular, and volunteer work. Congratulations to these students for their outstanding accomplishments!

Around the World
Homecoming 2015 will kick off this year on Sunday, September 20, at 2pm with our parade. The parade will take the regular route and afterwards, you can come and tour the school beginning at 3:30pm.
*Floatbuilding meeting will be Wednesday, September 9 at 2:50pm in the West Commons. Building begins on Monday, September 14.

PowderPuff   will be on Wednesday, September 23. New this year, the Freshmen and Sophomores will square off in a JV game at 5:00pm. The Juniors and Seniors will take the field for the Varsity game at 7:00pm. Remember, all proceeds from the PowderPuff game go to the Hartford Food Pantry!

The Pep Rally will be on Friday, September 25 starting at 1:30pm. 

The Football Game will be on Friday, September 25 at 7pm.

The Dance will be on Saturday, September 26.

Please help our students to remember to celebrate a safe and responsible homecoming while enjoying all of the activities!

Visons class begin building practice sheds.
Students in the Vision course, under instructor Jeff Jilling, began building their practice sheds this week. They will build them from the ground up throughout the semester. Each student will have the opportunity t o experimen t in multipl e skilled trades throughout the project.

Students in Drawing 1 begin with control drawing.
In order to pre-assess her students in Drawing 1, art teacher Dawn Bloomer had her students complete a control drawing this week. In a control drawing students  duplicate from a projected image without any drawing information.

program to help our freshmen feel comfortable when  they arr ive at HUHS for the first day. Thank you to all freshmen that attended to learn more about HUHS and how it all works!
Tips & Tricks
Last week we sent out our first Tips & Tricks video. Lessons were learned
on publishing and distribution. If you were not able to view it, we did convert it to
YouTube, and it can still be seen here. We'll be distributing more, and have noted the issues with our first! Thanks for the feedback!
Girls Golf Continues Successful Season
Varsity & JV On top of Their Game
The girls golf program is doing well at both the varsity and JV levels this season. The varsity has won three conference meets in a row at Kewaskum, Watertown, and Arrowhead. The JV has followed right along, yesterday winning a dual  against Homestead by five strokes.  Good luck ladies in finishing out the season as strong as you have started! Go Orioles!
  
Girls Volleyball wins Home Tournament &  Beats Slinger
The Varsity Girls Volleyball team has been enjoying some success this week with a tournament win at home last weekend. To top off the week and kick off the holiday weeken d, they beat Slinger last night on all levels! Way to go ladies, keep working hard!
