Over 70 members of JARI's Industry Consortia came together on December 4 to share their 2015 accomplishments and goals for 2016.
Partner agencies provided information on employer services and career resources for youth.
"The extent of the collaboration is much more than I expected," said consortium member Curt Davis. "The meeting was very informative and good things are happening in our area."
JARI, Pennsylvania Highlands Community College, the Greater Johnstown Career and Technology Center and the PA CareerLink of Cambria County hosted the event. GJCTC culinary arts students prepared and served breakfast.
Many thanks to all the members who participated and supported the consortia initiatives over the past 14 years. We look forward to continued success in 2016.

PA Workforce Development Board Symposium
Director of Workforce Development Debi Balog was selected to serve as a panelist for the Collaboration Think Tank Workshop for Economic Development at the PA Workforce Development Board Symposium on December 8 in State College. The discussion centered around alignment of workforce and economic development systems in an effort to respond to economic and labor market challenges facing regions across the state.
JARI developed its workforce development program over 13 years ago in order to better integrate both workforce and economic development, and Balog has served a crucial role in successfully implementing this integration.
