"Rain, rain...time to stay away...At least, if you please, for a couple of days..."
While the rain was much needed in our area last week, Nor'easters and hurricanes aren't so fun. So as I gaze out on fluffy clouds and blue skies, I am finding myself grateful for the return of beautiful fall weather!
And, while we had to cancel our last class on The Essenes because of the torrential downpours, we were thrilled to have eight aspiring psychics dodge some wind and raindrops to make it to our "Psychic Discovery and Development" on Thursday to hone their skills with Reverend Kathy Gregg. There are still three classes left so if you have any inkling about tapping into your natural psychic gifts now is the time! Next class is Thursday, October 8 at 7:30 p.m.
Since the theme of this year's autumn at ISD is "what's in YOUR harvest," you may want to check out class beginning on Tuesday, October 6 at 7:30 p.m. called "The Process of Self-Awakening," led by yours truly. With a lively mix of lecture and discussion, we'll help you "harvest" your ideas about your life's purpose, and examine about how we can apply some of the Universe's "laws" and "rules" in a deeper discovery of ourselves, in order to be of better service to others. This is a required course for those in or interested in ISD's ministerial program, but is a most exciting experience for any of us looking to know ourselves a little better.
Next weekend we are in full fall swing! Saturday October 10, we'll have our "seasonal spruce up" of our church and grounds from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. Come for a short while, come for the entire time, but please come to help prepare our spiritual home for the seasonal activities ahead! I will look forward to seeing you there!
Saturday night is one of our most popular - and fun - events, our Message Circle! If you haven't been yet, what are you waiting for? We close the doors at 7:30 p.m., then all participants have the opportunity to receive several short, inspirational messages from our ever-so-gifted psychics. Come and see what all the fun is about.
Sunday is a special day at ISD - our annual Volunteer Appreciation Service and Celebration. This is a day that we honor our dedicated, loving, and hard-working volunteers during the service, and at our special celebration luncheon immediately following in the fellowship hall. This is also a day that you can become one of our wonderful teams that keeps ISD the thriving spiritual community that we are, so think about where you might like to lend your gifts!
