Lego Building with Bricks 4 Kidz

Children aged 6 to 11 years (accompanied by an adult) are invited for building a working motorized Lego Model. The materials are supplied by Bricks 4 Kids and registration is required
  
Chemical Free Home Presentation
 Thursday, November 5 at 6:30 pm
  
Join Maria G. Turchi, a Wellness Educator and Board Certified Aromatherapy Teacher to learn about synthetic chemicals in products we use every day. Maria will provide guidance in how to read labels, identify the set of ingredients which should be avoided, swap out most common yet dangerous home products and make some of the best chemical free recipes so you can create a Chemical Free Home!

Special Needs: Supporting Wellness With Essential Oils

Join Maria G. Turchi, a Wellness Educator and Board Certified Aromatherapy Teacher  to learn about supporting the special needs person in your life with essential oils. In this presentation explore how essential oils can help to maintain mental acuity and focus, promote a calming environment, support joint and bone health and a healthy immune function. Learn simple ways to support health, digestive, respiratory, immune system and more. In this gathering you will experience essential oils topically, through inhalation and taste. Toddler Time

Toddler Time members will meet for an hour of fun.  Activities include crafts, music, free play and  reading a story.The program is currently full.Contact the Library if you would like to be added to the waiting list.Toddler Time is for children up to 30 months of age with a parent or caregiver.
  
Raw Food Living for Health and Healing

Time Travel
                              Thursday, November 19 at 7pm
   
Explore the topic of 'Time Travel' with Hercules Invictus, the founder of Regional Folklore Society of Northeastern PA and the Center for the Study of Living Myth, NJ. Does time really travel in a straight line? Can we enter the distant past, or the far future, from the present moment? What causes synchronicities and deja vu? Can prophesy and some alien encounters be explained by time travel? Is there a part of us that is free from the constraints of time? Join us on to explore these and other temporal mysteries.

Friends of the Library Book & Bake Sale & Author Visit

The Friends of the Cresskill Library are organizing their annual book and bake sale and are seeking donations of gently used books, CDs and DVDs. Those with donations can drop them off during regular library hours. Individually wrapped baked goods donations are also needed and will be accepted on Thursday Nov 19 from 10 am - 8 pm and morning of the sale. Local authors - Rosemarie Rubinetti Cappiello, Hank Quense, Michael C. Gabrielle and James B. Nicola will be available for book signing. We need your help to make this sale a success; consider helping to set up, work the sale and clean up after. The Friends group supports and cooperates with the library in developing library services and facilities for the community.

The Friends of the Cresskill Library are continuing their fundraising efforts. Each month, artist Wendy Woda, has donated "zen doodle" creations. 
  
The cost of a Raffle ticket is $1.00. Raffle drawings are held at the end of the month.

ESL Tutors Wanted
 
Cresskill Library is pleased to offer ESL instruction as a free service to help meet the community's growing need for English language instructors and tutors. The library would like to arrange additional classes and tutoring sessions to meet the growing demand, but instructors are needed. Anyone interested in volunteering their time should contact the library by calling 201-567-3521 or emailing [email protected] .
