WEST OAHU STATIONS BIDS OPENED

Four companies submitted bids this week to build the three rail stations at the ewa end of the Honolulu rail line.

The stations included in the group are the East Kapolei Station, the Hoopili Station and the station at UH-West Oahu.

Nan, Inc's bid was $56,088,470.  Watts Constructors, LLC submitted a bid of $66,543,692.  Hensel Phelps' bid was $67,234,000, and Hawaiian Dredging Construction Company submitted a bid of $73,400,000.

HART staff will now carefully examine all of the bids submitted this week to ensure that the bidders were both responsive and responsible.

HART plans to request bids for the next set of three stations in the Pearl City and Aiea neighborhoods in August.
