How to Pray

In a recent conversation, Pope Francis reflected..."In addition to memorizing the 10 Commandments, Christians should also memorize the Beatitudes."

We live by the law of the 10 Commandments.  How would our world look if we live by the spirit of the Beatitudes?

Blessed are the poor in    spirit, for theirs is the  Kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are they who  mourn, for they will be  comforted.
Blessed are the meek,  for they will inherit the  land.
Blessed are they who  hunger and thirst for  righteousness, for they  will be satisfied.
Blessed are the merciful,  for they will be shown  mercy.
Blessed are the clean of  heart, for they will see  God.
Blessed are the  peacemakers, for they  will be called children of  God.
Blessed are they who  are persecuted for the  sake of righteousness,  for theirs is the Kingdom  of heaven.

Season of  Remembrance

The Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur are grateful to you and to all good men and women who support our Mission through prayer and our ministries through resources.

You walk with us in the jungles of the Amazon, in the forest of the Congo, in the streets in various cities as well as classrooms in schools and the clinics in Africa.   We share the Good News of the Gospel.

You pray with us for families throughout the world:  For migrants in transition, for people in need of shelter and food, for lost, stolen and forgotten children and those who are abused and alone.  We pray with you also for your families.

We pray together for loved ones who have died whom we hold close in our memories.  We pray for men and women who die alone and for hundreds who die violent deaths.

Dear Friends,

On All Saints Day, from the Book of Revelations we read....

I had a vision of great multitude, which no one could count, from every nation, race, people and tongue.  They stood before the throne and before the Lamb, wearing white robes and holding palm branches in their hands."

Who are these wearing white robes and where did they come from?"   We know many of this multitude by name.  They are our families and our friends.  They are your family and your friends.

Thank you for sharing YOUR names with us.  You and your loved ones are remembered in prayer.
