SHARING THE WORD DEVOTIONAL

ARE YOU USING THE RIGHT WEAPONS?

We use God's mighty weapons, not mere wordily weapons, to knock down the Devil's strongholds. II Corinthians 10:4, NLT

You've probably seen by now the blockbuster movie,  The War Room. It tells the story of a disillusioned wife who kept fighting for her marriage to survive, but due to the disinterest of her husband to save it, it appeared she would lose the battle.

Until a chance meeting occurred between her and an older, godly woman. After listening to the woman's counsel about the right weapons to use to fight for the marriage and implementing her suggestions, the young woman's marriage was eventually restored.

As Christians, the apostle Paul reminds us we cannot fight our great enemy the Devil using human methods, for his attacks will be too strong for us to overcome. Instead, God has given his people an arsenal of weapons he wants us to use - weapons of prayer, faith, hope, the Bible, and the Holy Spirit. When we use these weapons to fight against the Devil's attacks, we're not only able to fight against them, but win.

Are you almost ready to give up the fight against the enemies' attacks on your life today? Then make sure you are using the right weapons!

Sharing the word,

Jeaninne

Prayer: Father, thank you that I can win any battle against my great enemy, the Devil, if I use the right weapons. Amen.

Christian to Christian: How have you used your spiritual weapons to ward off the Devil's attacks in your life? I enjoy hearing from you.
