DALLAS, APRIL 7, 2015 --  On Saturday, April 18, the largest pro-life gala in DFW will feature Grammy-nominated artist Kathy Troccoli and top-rated radio host Patrick Coffin.  The evening will benefit the life-saving ministries of the Catholic Pro-Life Committee, the Respect Life Ministry of the Diocese of Dallas.

6:30 pm  Seated Dinner, Live Auction and Program

The featured program will include a musical performance by Kathy Troccoli whose career as a singer, producer and songwriter has spanned three decades with 17 number one hits, 19 Dove Awards and three Grammy nominations.  "We are so blessed that Kathy will not only share her award-winning talent with us, but also her captivating personal journey," said Karen Garnett, Executive Director of the Catholic Pro-Life Committee.

The program will also feature Patrick Coffin, national speaker, author, and the host of Catholic Answers Live, the top-rated Catholic radio show in America heard on over 350 stations.  "Patrick's unique mix of inspiration and humor will be a wonderful addition to the program this year, making it a truly memorable evening," said Garnett.

The evening will also honor the Jonas and Tricia Roos family as the 2015 Pro-Life Persons of the Year for their powerful witness in choosing to carry to term their daughter diagnosed in utero with the rare genetic disorder Trisomy 18.  Their story inspired hundreds of students at Bishop Lynch, where Tricia coaches, thousands on social media who joined "Annabelle's Army," and was featured in The Dallas Morning News, a WFAA television news story, and several online outlets.

The theme of this year's dinner -- "Every Life is a Masterpiece" -- is drawn from the words of Pope Francis which were adopted by the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops as the theme of Respect Life Month.  Bishop Kevin Farrell, host of the annual dinner, explained why this message is so important right now:  "Many in our community in Dallas are wanting for basic respect as human beings, and we owe them our generosity and sacrifices to help restore their dignity.  There is no group for whom this is truer than the most vulnerable among us, the precious unborn, whose lives are devalued, threatened daily" by abortion.

Bishop Farrell urges attendance at this special event to not only help continue the "critical work" of protecting life from conception until natural death, but also to celebrate "a generation of these life-saving accomplishments" made possible by the thousands who have partnered with the Catholic Pro-Life Committee in this urgent mission.
