Opiate Task Force Website Launches

The Summit County Opiate Task Force launched their new website earlier this month. This site contains useful information for anyone who wants to learn more about what they can do to help end this lethal epidemic.

The next quarterly meeting of the Opiate Task Force will be on Monday, May 4th, from 4:00pm-6:00pm at the Summit Auditorium, Summit County Public Health, 1867 West Market Street, Akron, OH 44313

Free Suicide Safe App Now Available

Almost half (45%) of individuals who die by suicide have visited a primary care provider in the month prior to their death, and 20% have had contact with mental health services.

SAMHSA's new app, Suicide Safe , is designed to help primary care and behavioral health providers integrate suicide prevention strategies into their practices and address suicide risk among their patients.

Suicide Safe is now available for download on iOS? and Android? mobile devices.
