National Prescription Drug

Take Back Day

This Saturday, September 26th, is National Prescription Drug Take Back Day, so take advantage of this opportunity to properly dispose of unwanted or unused prescription drugs.

National Depression Screening Day is October 8, 2015

Experiencing depression is NOT a normal part of the aging process. The Mature Services Avenues to Recovery program will present a free continuing education program on Depression in Older Adults from 11:00am until 1:00pm on Thursday, October 8th. The program is approved for 1.5 CEU's for Counselors and Social Workers. Details and registration information available here.

Immediately following the program, they will offer free, confidential depression screenings to the community from 1:00pm until 4:00pm at the Akron Public Library, 60 S.High Street, Room 2AB.
