Trailblazers Honored at ADM Board Appreciation Luncheon

About 300 people attended last week's ADM Board Appreciation Luncheon where four local trailblazers were recognized for their outstanding contributions to the field of mental health and addiction recovery . 

Those honored included: Mark Salchak, Judge Elinore Marsh Stormer, Patty Slevey and Rev. Patrick J. Barrett.

We have been bombarded with confusing messages about marijuana legalization, but it is not too late to learn more about the potential impact of legalizing marijuana in our state. 

Community Partnership of Summit County
offers materials and speakers to share what the research has shown about marijuana use as well as potential impacts on youth, the workplace and community safety.
 
The Drug Free Action Alliance also has materials available on their website. 



The ADM Board Welcomes 
New Members 

The Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health (ADM) Services Board recently welcomed 3 new members to the Board of Directors.  

Akron residents Kathlin McCann, Melissa Mellinger and Andre J. Thornton Jr. were sworn in by Judge Joy Malek Oldfield at the September Board meeting.
