TCG Webinar Replay
TCG's Global Hotel & Meetings Practice Director, Louann Cashill shares five innovative initiatives corporate hotel programs should evaluate to avoid projected 3-7% program cost increases for 2016 due to the ongoing sellers' market.

This webinar also highlights specific hotel trends within the EMEA region.
Market Innovation "Quick Hits"- Integrating Hotel & Meetings

Background
  • Annual Meetings spend can be 50- 300% higher than corporate travel
  • Companies face an entrenched sellers market in hotels which began in 2009.
  • Meetings budgets, reporting, process and policies are usually very fragmented
  • The legacy Hotel sales framework - separate meeting and transient sales teams - has inhibited innovation
Opportunity
  • Mature innovative companies who cannot drive incremental savings from sourcing now looking at meetings as a company level strategic imperative and opportunity
Best Practice Execution
  • Must have senior strategic leadership support to breakdown departmental silos and turf wars
  • Focused initiative to capture and analyze all relevant meetings and hotel spend data
  • Development of integrated meetings policy- budgets, pre-approvals, process, sourcing, oversight, reporting
  • Target and execute consolidated sourcing negotiations where relevant
  • Integrated dashboard reporting - compliance, benchmarking, etc.
  • SAVINGS OF 10-25%
