From Pastor Mike

Just about a month ago we met together as a church family on a Sunday night to hear, pray, and talk about a new Sunday morning schedule to begin in the fall of this year. We had a great turnout that night, but since not everyone was able to come, let me summarize what's going to happen.

Beginning Sunday, August 2, our Sunday morning schedule will be:

            9 AM- Worship

10 AM- Small Group Bible Study

            11 AM- Worship

A few "Frequently Asked Questions" for this change have been:

"Why?" It wasn't that long ago that we had 2 worship services on Sunday morning. Our participation level has never quite regained what it was before we moved back into one service. This is a sincere effort to reach more people for Christ, as we offer an option for worship for those who simply prefer coming to an earlier service.

"What will the 9 AM service look like?" By necessity, the 9 AM service will be simpler. There will not be a choir or an orchestra; these will remain staples of the 11 AM service. The service will be led by a worship leader and a small band and will last 50 minutes.

"What will the 11 AM service look like?" It will look and "feel" the same as our current 10:30 AM service.

I and the pastoral team will continue to bring you updates on what this new schedule will mean, but it's clear we'll need members willing to serve. Several of you have told me you are ready! And all I can say is, "Me too!"

See You Sunday.
