The Bridge: Board Training

Serving on a nonprofit board is a valuable way to advance the causes you are passionate about. The Bridge de-mystifies board service by providing you with the tools and knowledge to be an effective board leader during this 1-day course.

Paint the Halls of Alki Elementary

School's out for the summer--which means it's the perfect time to get volunteers IN! Seattle Works volunteers will team up with Alki Elementary's parents and teachers to give the interior of the school a fresh coat of paint, just in time for the new school year.


   

Pack Up Theatre Props

Help The Seattle Gilbert & Sullivan Society tidy up and refinish their prop basement at the Crown Hill Center. You'll be helping move items like styrofoam pirate ships, costumes, and knights.
   

Dinner & Shelter Prep at ROOTS
Every Tuesday and Thursday, 7:30-10:30pm | University District  
(1415 NE 43rd St ) | Ages 13+  
   

Volunteer crews help prepare healthy meals, as  well as set up shelter (typically helping to get clean bedding ready for use in the shelter) for guests! When guests are able to eat nutritious food and get a good night's rest, their health is maintained.

   

Help at Jubilee REACH Thrift Shop
Weds, 8/19 6-9pm | Bellevue

Volunteers will work with customers, take in donations, and help with the regular retail operations of the store. All of the revenue generated from the Thrift Store goes directly back into the community in forms of additional services provided through Jubilee REACH.



Bike Assistants at IronGirl

Help support women and girls fulfill personal goals and spread health awareness in our community!

 

Bike Rack Assistants are responsible for supporting athletes during the race by helping with checkpoints and equipment.  

 

 
Build a Path at Freeway Estates Orchard
Sat, 8/22 11am-2pm | Ravenna
( 6th Avenue NE between NE 60th and NE 63rd) | Ages 12+  
 

Freeway Estates Community Orchard is a neighborhood attempt to create a productive community space from an underutilized piece of land. 

  

On Saturday 8/22, volunteers will lay a crushed rock path to improve accessibility. It'll be great to see the before-and-after pictures of this project!
