 ARTIST'S RECEPTION

Saturday, September 13th

4-7 pm

free to the public

"Man is a phase of nature, and only as he is

related to nature does he matter,

does he have any account whatever above the dust."

-Frank Lloyd Wright

Experiencing nature, the landscape, and the built and natural environments that surround us has the power to transform our being. But truly the most powerful part of the experience is our personal interpretation of it.

Creating a personal interpretation of our world was a key factor in the making of this body of artwork. The artist's responsibility is to interpret the world; not to merely document it, but to imprint the stamp of their own experience upon everything they create, and therefore, make every subject they tackle new and fresh through their conception. Real magic comes when a viewer encounters the art and makes their own deduction based on the artist's conception.

I created Houses, Landscapes, Flowers & Dreams as an expression of my love for Nature, the importance of humankind's relationship to Nature, and the relevance of Nature to our well-being, and the health of the earth.

Whether by studies of individual flower species, landscape paintings, images of houses acting in harmony with nature, or attempts at expressing a mystic understanding of the natural world, Nature is paramount in this body of work.

Therefore, I am honored to exhibit this series in Frank Lloyd Wright's Gordon House.

"Study nature, love nature,

stay close to nature.

It will never fail you."

- Frank Lloyd Wright
