We are ever so slightly increasing our membership fees in 2016. Save money and renew your membership before the end of the year. Memberships include admission into the Gardens, guest passes, discounts on Community Education classes, plants and items in the gift shops; free admission in the annual Arts & Music in the Gardens festival. And hot-off-the-press news and gardening tips direct to your computer, tablet, or phone each month.

Finlay Nicolson, HCP graduate and instructor, will show you how to create decorative Christmas wreaths containing evergreens, berries, cones and bows. These wreaths will look great on y our front door throughout the festive season. All materials supplied.

C ost: $35 for Members / $45 for non-members

All pieces will be cut and prepared ahead of time so all you need to do is get creative and have fun!  The instructor Lonnie Paton will be there to guide participants through the process. At the end of the class you will have your own Rudolf, Blitzen or Dasher to take home with you. This is a great activity to get the whole family into the festive spirit.
There are no reserved spots for this workshop and quantities are limited so be sure to get there early.

Cost: $15 per Reindeer

Turn your summer pots into winter floral delights.  Learn the secret to fabulous entranceway arrangements that will provide beauty and drama to your front door. After the demonstration, each student will make an arrangement using materials provided in their own outdoor pot.

Cost: $45 for Members / $55 non-members

Some of you have commented on the "slimmed down" format of the newsletter. This is not due to some new diet fad, but rather due to us making it "responsive" so that the newsletter can be viewed more easily on tablets and mobile devices. Reports show about 50% of those reading our newsletter open it up on a mobile device (tablet, phone etc) and the other 50% open it on a desktop computer or laptop.

As we go forward we will continue refining the newsletter to make it as friendly as possible for all our readers. Hopefully the only difference right now is a little more scrolling for those of you on a home computer!
