HAPPY 2016!!

Thank you to all of our members for a terrific 2015! We hope to make 2016 even better with new socials, mixers and tournaments. Stay tuned for more to come each month!

18 & OVER SPRING USTA

Now is the time to form our USTA teams for the upcoming 18 & Over Adult League Season which begins March 5th. Team registration will stay open until February 12th. Members will be allowed to form their own teams; however, each team must be comprised of a minimum of 12 El Gancho members in order to be accepted. Cost for non-members to play on an El Gancho team for the season will be $75.00. People who wish to captain a team must let Jake know and include the names of the team members. It is important that before a captain asks members to be on their team, that they clearly discuss that players' role on the team - i.e., will that member play almost every match or will the player be used more as an emergency fill-in? These issues must be understood between the captains and each player on their team before signing up. For those who have not been invited to play on a USTA team, or have not been able to find a team, you may sign up at the front desk. If there are enough players in your division signed up, Jake will form a team for you.


INDOOR LOTTERY #3

The second indoor block time has begun. The last day of the seven week session will be Friday, February 19th, 2016. Our next lottery (for indoor block number 3), will take on Saturday, February 6th, 2015 at 9AM on the racquetball courts (please note the time change). Indoor block #3 will run from February 22nd, 2016, until April 1st, 2016 for a total of six weeks. You must fill out one of the forms available at the front desk beginning Monday, January 25th in order to participate. These forms must be turned into the front desk no later than Wednesday, February 3rd, 2016. If you sign up to be the primary contact for your group, you must attend the lottery, no exceptions.  
 


WINTER DOUBLES LEAGUES

Our winter doubles leagues have officially begun. Please look for standings to be emailed out at the end of each week. We still have room for subs--please email Jake if you'd to be put on the list.


CLINICS

The adult clinics will be scheduled as follows for 2016:

* Monday - Adult Clinic, open to all adults of all playing levels, will be held from 1:30-3:00PM

* Thursdays - Advanced Clinic requires a minimum ranking of 3.5 for men and 4.0 for women, will be held from 1:00-2:30PM

* Saturday - Men's Clinic, open to 3.5/4.0 ratings only, will be held from 9:00-10:30AM

* Saturday - Tennis 202, open to all adults of all playing levels, will be held from 9:00-10:30AM

The above clinics are held weekly. The cost per clinic is $20.00 per person. To sign up for any clinic, please call the front desk at 988-5000.
