PJ Library, one of the newest programs available to families through our Jewish Federation, would like to reach many more homes in our community. Thanks to very generous donations from local donors and the Harold Grinspoon Foundation, children between the ages of 6 months and 8 years are eligible to receive a free Jewish book each month. The themes captured in these quality, age appropriate books include Jewish values, holidays, Israel, life's transitionary moments and much loved bible stories and fables. They will help to comprise a wonderful library of Jewish literature for the younger set and they are free!
To enroll your child(ren) simply go to PJLibrary.com and follow the instructions. For more information about PJ Library, please contact Debby Singer, the PJ Library Program Coordinator at [email protected].

The Jewish Federation JYO is a vibrant intermediate level orchestra. Our young
musicians have an opportunity to meet and interact with other young musicians in the
larger Jewish Community in a musical and creative environment. We rehearse and perform
a wide range of musical repertoire from classical, standards (Gershwin, Berlin, Porter) to klezmer and Jewish holiday favorites. There will be a minimum of four performances during the Sept-June seasons.
The JYO is for: * Student musicians who are able to read music
* Students ages 8-15 who have had a minimum of 2 years of music instruction and who
are currently taking lessons in school or privately
* Students available for 3-4 rehearsals each month from 3:30 pm-5:30 pm on Sundays.

Community Art Exhibition
We are so excited to invite you to come see the latest installation of community member art on display at the Jewish Federation.
Pearl Tyree, a Sierra Madre artist, was a member of Congregation Shaarei Torah in Arcadia and is now associated with PJTC. She has exhibited her art in both venues. She is also a member of San Marino ORT.
Pearl has studied with many local art teachers and also in Boston and New York. She has exhibited in several local galleries, but currently usually shows at Sierra Madre Creative Arts, and her home studio (by appointment only). She works in paint, clay collage and enamel on copper.
This exhibit is a collection of acrylic paintings and collage with acrylics. They are original interpretations of some old Jewish songs, hopefully with a new twist.
This exhibit is in honor of Annie Cheslow and the PJTC Yiddish Group.
