THE CITY'S 6TH ANNUAL
VETERANS DAY CELEBRATION
Former WSB-TV news anchor John Pruitt will emcee the City's 6th Annual Veteran's Day Celebration on Wednesday, November 11 at 11:30 a.m. at the Concourse Corporate Campus. The keynote speaker will be U.S.Marine Corps Veteran and Sandy Springs District 1 City Councilman John Paulson. The event honors those who have served our country as a member of the armed forces. LEARN ABOUT PLANNED IMPROVEMENTS FOR CARPENTER DRIVE @ ROSWELL ROAD
The City is hosting a public open house regarding planned improvements for the Roswell Road / Carpenter Drive intersection on Monday, November 16, 2015 from 6-8 p.m. in City Hall Council Chambers. There will be no formal presentation, but city representatives will be available to discuss the project. A six-month road closure is expected at the northern intersection of Carpenter Drive at Roswell Road.

Open House
that afternoon beginning at
4 p.m. in City Hall, Council Chambers.
We'll have refreshments, and those who want to see how city business is conducted, can take a guided tour of city hall. Tours will end at 5:45 with the City Council hosting its regular meeting that night beginning at 6 p.m. For those who enjoy a good party, the
Sandy Springs Perimeter Chamber and Leadership Sandy Springs present a 10th Anniversary Party, Friday, December 4, 2015 beginning at 6:30 p.m.
The party will take place at the
Sherwood Event Facility located at 8610 Roswell Road
.
The evening includes entertainment, food and a walk down the City

s memory lane.

ADOPT-A-FAMILY THIS HOLIDAY SEASON
The Community Assistance Center's (CAC) Adopt-a-Family program serves local families who have received assistance from CAC during the current year. It's easy to adopt a local family for holiday gifts! View family stories and children's wish lists on the CAC website. Select a family and "adopt" online. Donors, please spend $50 per child and deliver your new and unwrapped gifts. CAC will distribute gifts to families as they are received.

ACT3 PRODUCTIONS PRESENTS
GUYS AND DOLLS
Act3 Productions will present Guys and Dolls November 6 through 21 at Act3 Playhouse. Tickets are $15-$30 and may be purchased at

PANCAKES WITH SANTA
Kickoff the holidays at the Sandy Springs Society's annual pancake breakfast.
This year's breakfast will be held on
Saturday, November 7 at 9 a.m. at Heritage Sandy Springs.
Santa will be camera ready, so bring a camera to snap the perfect holiday card photo.
Tickets are $20 for both adults and children. To ensure a personal visit with Santa, only 150 tickets are available online.

The Elegant Elf Marketplace, presented by the Sandy Springs Society, is a festive high-end gift market that showcases close to 80 local and regional artists, gourmet food purveyors, and distinctive gift vendors in jewelry, handcrafted fashions, fine crafts, home and garden, handbags, toys and more. The Elegant Elf Marketplace takes place Saturday, November 7 from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.; and Sunday, November 8 from 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. at Lake Forest Elementary School, 5920 Sandy Springs Circle. $5 entrance fee. SANDY SPRINGS EDUCATION FORCE'S ANNUAL 5K - FOOTPRINTS FOR THE FUTURE RETURNS
The second annual Footprints for the Future 5K winds through the heart of Sandy Springs near City Walk on
Saturday, November 14, benefiting Sandy Springs Education Force and the students in our eleven Sandy Springs public schools. The race, a certified Peachtree Qualifier, will include chip timing and a professional finish line provided by Georgia Multisports Productions. The event also includes a pre-race warm-up led by fitness professionals, live entertainment, including a DJ, vendor booths and a Family Fun Run. MARK YOUR CALENDAR FOR THE DAFFODIL PROJECT AT HAMMOND PARK
The public is invited to participate in the planting of the Daffodil Project's Children's Memorial Garden at Hammond Park on Sunday, November 15, 2015 at 3 p.m. The Daffodil Project's goal is to build a worldwide living memorial of the children who perished in the Holocaust and in support of children who continue to suffer in humanitarian crises today. HERITAGE WINTER CLASSICS SERIES
Don't miss the return of the "Heritage Winter Classics"concert series, held one Sunday evening each month, November through February. Presented by Heritage Sandy Springs, Heritage Winter Classics is an indoor concert series celebrating classical, jazz, and vocal music.
The series kicks off on Sunday, November 15, 2015 with Hooray for Hollywood! With Cecil Welch and Friends, Cecil and his band will be performing Academy Award winning film themes from the 1930s all the way to the present, bringing the music to life with anecdotes and stories.
Heritage Winter Classics take place in Heritage Hall on the lower level of the Heritage Sandy Springs at 6110 Blue Stone Road. Admission is $5 for members of Heritage Sandy Springs and $10 for non-members. Doors open at 4:00 p.m., performances are 4:30 - 6:30 p.m.
