Dear Arete families,

 

In chronological order... below are the important athletic items that should be on your radar.

 

Remaining Athletic Camps

All middle school soccer players (grades 6th-8th) are invited to soccer camp with Mr. Posner. Soccer camp starts Monday, July 27th and runs Monday-Friday from 6:30-8:00pm. Bring your form and fee to Mr. Posner on the first day of camp.

 

Middle School and High School Volleyball Camps run from Aug. 3-7. MS Volleyball is from 4:00-6:00pm, and HS Volleyball is from 6:00-8:00pm. Submit summer camp form to Coach Arnold.

 

Middle School Football Camp runs from Aug. 3-7 from 5:00-7:00pm. Submit summer camp form to Coach Arnold.

Enroll for Fall Season Sports Now

We have a new athletic website at AretePrepChargers.com. Athletic Enrollment is on one page now under the heading of "Enrollment". Steps 1-3 are for both middle school and high school athletes, while steps 4-5 are for high school athletes only. You may enroll your athletes for the fall season now. Here are the steps:

  1. Complete the Athletic Online Enrollment. (Must be completed by a parent/guardian.)
  2. Every athlete must submit a physical on the approved AIA Physical Forms. Physicals are good for 12 months and must be resubmitted annually.
  3. Submit the athletic fee. All middle school sports (including archery) are $225. All high school sports are $290. Click ONLINE PAYMENT to pay by debit/credit card online, or you may submit cash, check, or money order to the Athletic Dept.
  4. (HS Only) Complete the MTBI/Concussion Form. This form must be submitted annually.
  5. (HS Only) If not previously completed, every athlete must complete the Brainbook Concussion Course. The AIA will notify the school once you have successfully completed the course. High school athletes are required to complete this course only once during their high school career.

All items must be completed and turned in before your student may participate in their sport.

 

T-Shirt Order Form

We have a few new t-shirts this year. As we did last year, we will take orders on a pre-paid basis and fulfill the orders, periodically. The first order deadline will be Friday, August 14th and the turn-around time is one week, typically. Submit your order form and payment to Coach Arnold. Baseline Concussion Testing

All Football players, both middle school and high school, are required to attend baseline concussion testing on August 7th.  High school football players are from 9am-10am, and middle school football players are from 10am-11am. This is a requirement if your child plans to play football. If you are unable to attend on Aug. 7th, you must schedule a separate appointment. Contact me directly with any questions. Additionally, on Aug. 7th from 11am-Noon and Noon-1pm, we will have a voluntary open session for all other fall athletes. Every athlete taking the baseline testing must bring the Impact Consent & Questionnaire.

 

We will host another session of baseline testing prior to the winter season. All baseline testing will be done in the Prep building on campus.
