Fall greetings from St. Richards! 
It has been a calm and productive start to the 2015 - 2016 school year.  We began in mid-August with 360 students and have grown since then.  By mid-November, we expect to be at 367 students. Read more

Meet the President of the BOT

Ms. Valita Fredland is the Chief Privacy Officer/Counsel at Indiana University Health. Valita and her wife Ms. Michelle Folz have two girls at SRES (Tori, Grade 6 and Amelia, Grade 2). Valita notes, "SRES has an amazing group of alum who all share the same great education and values-based foundation. By staying involved you can help to ensure that St. Richard's can offer this same magic for other kids. "

2 015-16 Annual Fund

Horizons at St. Richard's

120 students enjoyed a successful 2015 summer with a 95% attendance rate and students showing over 3 months of growth in reading and math. Click  here  to learn about a matching grant they received through IndyStar.    The  Horizons Golf Classic at The Hawthorns Country Club also raised over $12,000 last month. Thank you to all who participated!

Regalia:  The Great Gatsby

F. Scott Fitzgerald once said, "I like large parties. They're so intimate. At small parties there isn't any privacy."   Come and experience the extravagance and opulence of a night in the roaring '20s at 2016 Regalia - The Great Gatsby.  Enjoy a decadent four course dinner, silent and live auction, and then dance the night away in the beautiful ballroom at the Scottish Rite Cathedral.  Look for a Save the Date in December!

Saturday, October 17 at 4pm at Trinity
Former Senator & Episcopal Priest, John  Danforth , will be at Trinity on  Saturday, October 17 at 4 pm  to give a talk and book signing. He will be joined by The Right Reverend Catherine Waynick, 10th Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Indianapolis, who will introduce the author/speaker.  The Rev’d John  Danforth  will preach on  Sunday, October 18  at the  10:15am  service, directly followed by a meet & greet and book signing in the Fortune Room.

Dragon Worthy
-Grade 1 student Robbie Blackwell was recently recognized by School on Wheels for his commitment to helping others in lieu of celebrating his own birthday. In fact, he's been doing this since his first birthday in 2009. Click here to read more. 
-Isaac Weber (Class of '14) was officially recognized for his Eagle Scout achievement in a Court of Honor ceremony held in the Fortune Room on Sept 28.

-Robert Grant Hardgrove Newlin (Grant) (Class of 2015') is performing in the Park Tudor High School Production of “Scenes from Metamorphoses," a modern treatment of selections from Roman poet Ovid’s epic work.

-Hannah Resnick (Class of 12') recently competed in the Park Tudor Panther Brain Game which will air on 10/17 at 7:00 p.m. 

-Ayana Lindsey (Class of 08') is participating in the the Spelman College Mock Trial Team. Competitions are designed to expose students to the basic principles of civil and criminal litigation through interesting and complex case materials. 

-Yale sophomore Maya Jenkins (Class of 10') was quoted in a Sept. 11 New York Times article about the controversy over the name of her dormitory, Calhoun Hall.  

-Ian Harrison (see right photo) (Class of 08') recently completed the Appalachian Trail and spoke to our Middle Division students about his experience. Students emulated his pose at the top of a peak.  

-Michael (Mike) Tirman (Class of 03') is an associate in Ice Miller’s Real Estate Group. He advises and represents clients in all areas of real estate law.

-SRES Parent/Alumna Malina Jeffers continues to impress with her recent founding of Mosaic City.  Read more .

Halloween Happenings
-Our Early Childhood Fall Pumpkin Carving Party is this Sunday at 4:00 p.m. Bring a pumpkin and carving utensil, and we will provide the food and clean up the mess. While this is planned for current families, prospective families are welcome! 

-Stop by   SRES on Friday, October 30 at 2:50 p.m. and check out some spooky costumes in our Halloween parade!
