Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach was ranked No. 1 among hospitals in the Sunshine State, not for having the best views, but for having the best heart attack survival rate. The medical center was ranked No. 3 among hospitals in the Southeast United States, according to a survey released this week from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Hospital Compare.

Heart attack survival rate was determined by data from CMS, which encompassed nearly 5,000 hospitals across the country. The medical center celebrated its ranking Friday <7.24.15> morning with a heart attack care simulation.

Mount Sinai's No. 1 ranking is the result of the medical center's partnership with the City of Miami Beach's Fire-Rescue Department, which quickly delivers patients to the hospital.
