  GREETINGS

Janet Rady
With the autumn art season well under way (were you at Frieze, ArtBahrain, FIAC or in Beirut for the re-opening of the Sursock Museum or Tony Salamé's Aïshti Foundation or perhaps planning to go to Artissima, Contemporary Istanbul or Abu Dhabi Art fairs?), we take a break this month to look at the reflective work of the Cornish based JRFA artist Paul Wadsworth.  Always a joy to discover, his gestural brush strokes bring to life the elements which surround him, welcoming us into his magical world.

In further news, we are pleased to announce that we now represent Bijan Daneshmand. A master of meditative abstraction, Bijan's works delight in their formal geometric disruptions.

In addition to our usual selection of must go to exhibitions and events, see also below for details of a new book on 33 Bahraini artists, which Janet Rady is honoured to have been invited to edit and which was launched at ArtBahrain to much acclaim.

Lastly, we are proud to have been featured in The Culture Trip's article about London Galleries focusing on Middle Eastern art, with special mention of JRFA artist Patrick Altes' participation in the Nour Festival of Arts.

As always, all of us at JRFA bring you our very best wishes and don't forgot to follow us on social media!

Paul Wadsworth Biography
In recent years, the work of Paul Wadsworth has attracted two main audiences.  On the one hand there are those who delight in his painting of the Cornish landscape: where rugged, wild and vibrant swathes of paint sweep across the canvas capturing a moment in time at a favourite location... "I lived in Porthleven for thirteen years before moving to Porthtowan. Two years ago, I moved to Newbridge between Penzance and St Just. I live out on the moors of west Penwith, which has had a great impact on my painting..."

"...There is nothing 'touristy' here; this is the work of someone who has immersed himself in these landscapes, succumbed to them, become intoxicated by them. They are overwhelmingly positive and life-affirming. A painting of trees over water shimmers and shifts, the colours constantly rearranging themselves, reflections moving as if still fluid..."
