Taking Shingles off the Hall - together! Help CFP save $2000
Saturday - All Day Barn-Raising!

Yes, it's a good old-fashioned "barn-raising" - which means a community comes together to build or rebuild a structure near and dear to them!  That is exactly what CFP is doing this weekend.  As early as 8am, grab your hammer,  a shovel, some sun glasses (or safety glasses!), ladders, pry-bars and come down to the Hall to tear off a shingle or two. Doing this ourselves will save a couple thousand dollars.  Come join the fun and be part of time honored and meaningful tradition.

Buy a Brick!  A  GREAT holiday gift idea to last a lifetime.

Buy a brick, leave a legacy.  Honor that special someone, celebrate a special milestone, tell us how much you love this neighborhood.  Walkway will be installed in front of the Community Hall.  Thank you to everyone in advance for your support - all proceeds go toward Hall renovation.  $200 for a 4x8 brick and $400 for an 8x8 brick.  Contact Kirsten Casey ([email protected]) or Conley Zani ([email protected]) with questions.  The first order of bricks have arrived, drop by the Hall to see them!

New Slide

A new slide has been installed in the CFP Playground. The slide was offered to CFPIA thru the efforts of Andrew Kelly, Portsmouth School Committee member, and Keith Hamilton, Portsmouth Town Council member, when Elmhurst School closed. Many thanks to Dave Gleason, Portsmouth Town Council member, and Gairad DeCastro, of Premier Landscape who were instrumental in getting the slide moved from Elmhurst to C
ommon Fence Point.

Tom McHale, Ron Travers, Scott Boyd, Bill Boyd and Dave Gleason took on the  task of installing the large slide.  After solving many installation issues, with the help of Steve Flowers of All Metals Welding and Fabrication, Premier Landscape was hired to prepare the site. New mulch has been ordered that will cover the entire playground area.

The cost of this project, which has been in the works for over 2 years, is around $4000.00. The funds come from the residents and friends of CFP who shop at Clement's Market and donate those grocery receipts to the Playground Project. CFP Playground Project receives 1% of the total receipts turned in. There is a lock box on the outside wall of the community hall to deposit the receipts. Since we joined the Clement's Friends Fund in 2001, CFPIA Playground Project has realized $12070.27.  These funds are used to maintain and replace equipment.

Jackie Shearman is the coordinator of the playground project and the Clement's Friends Fund.
