Looks Who's Making a Difference!
Each Friday, I usually bring you a story from a member who is making a difference by hosting an individual fundraising event.  They do this by not only raising funds, but spreading the word about the Chromosome 18 Registry & Research Society and our mission.  This week I thought it best to highlight some of the amazing fundraisers that are currently happening.  The events below are some great ways that you can get involved.  We hope that you will not only  participate , but spread the word to family and friends about our wonderful organization and how we can all help "make chromosome 18 abnormalities the first treatable chromosome condition!"

Phantom Tea

As 2015 winds down, we are just beginning to gear up for our biggest annual fundraiser, Phantom Tea!  Our 20th annual Phantom Tea campaign will officially kick off on December 1st, the National Day of Giving.   If you have not already done so, please visit the  Phantom Tea page of our website  and find out how you can get involved.  There are many ways to make that happen.  You may  print invitations  to mail to friends and family,  create your own personalized Phantom Tea  fundraising page, or donate to your syndrome group.  We need your help to make this the most successful Phantom Tea ever!!

Fantasy Gives

Please don't forget to visit  http://fantasygives.com  and draft your fantasy team to support the Registry.  Contests are fun and simple for both experienced and novice players. The contests follow the popular daily fantasy sports format (ex. FanDuel© and Draft Kings©) but the groups are much smaller so the odds of winning are much higher. There are no long drafts and it takes less than 5 minutes to set your lineup. Fantasy Gives provides thousands of dollars in weekly prizes to keep participants engaged...the end result, more money for The Chromosome 18 Registry and Research Society and more opportunities for you to win!  Draft your team today!!

We are ALWAYS looking to add more races!  If you, or someone you know, may be interested in chairing a Rock 'n' Roll Marathon event in your area, please email our Director of Individual Fundraising, Kelly Collins, at [email protected].  You DO NOT need to be a runner or even run in the event yourself.  All you need is a passion to spread the mission of the Registry by finding friends, family,  or co-workers to participate in a Rock 'n' Roll events.  Many cities include shorter races such as a 5k, 8k, or 10k, so there is something for everyone!  Please visit this link to see if there is a race coming to a city near you!
