Issue: 24 December 2015

Dear Friends,

PSFA focuses on the link between the classroom and careers. Often, faculty engage in projects in the community that advances their research, provides real-world experience for our students, and benefits the public. I call this type of work Projects for the Public Good, and our College is highly regarded for it.

In this note, you will read about the impressive teaching our faculty and students are doing in National City to provide after-school music lessons to youth in the community, the partnership of our musical theatre students and the La Jolla Playhouse to advance the work of new musicals in the industry, and the innovative solutions proposed by faculty specific to our border region.

Enjoy!
