I hope you enjoy our March 2015 edition of the online Catalyst alumni magazine. We give a shout out to Dr. Elisa Tomat for earning a NSF CAREER award for her work in the field of inorganic chemistry. NSF reviewers were especially impressed with the "Chemistry Discovery" course that Elisa developed for undergraduate and graduate students. Way to go, Elisa!

James Fordemwalt (BS in Chemistry, 1955) - Being a UA alumnus and an ASU Professor Emeritus, I have unresolvable divided loyalties. I can't decide if I'm a "Wild Devil" or a "Sun Cat"!! My best solution so far has been to be out of town for the UA/ASU foot game. I've been retired for 14 years and have enjoyed every minute of it, visiting my sons and grandchildren, going on cruises, and tours of Australia, England, Italy, and Switzerland (including the village of  Vordemwald). 

Christian Roessler (PhD in 

Biochemistry, 2010) - I am back in Arizona as I recently was hired by Ventana Medical Systems in Oro Valley.

Wesley Cai  (BS in 

Biochemistry, 2014) - I am pursuing a PhD (mechanisms of epigenetic regulation in breast cancer) at Yale University. I am enjoying the seasons here in Connecticut, but this winter has left me longing for some Tucson weather!
