October 26, 2015
Dear Readers,

Last weekend at the Canadian Chamber of Commerce AGM, our CEO and Board President contributed to the national policy resolutions process. Fifty-five proposed resolutions, developed by Canadian chambers of commerce/boards of trade and policy committees, were brought forth for debate at our Annual General Meeting and Convention, which took place in Ottawa on October 17 and 18. Of the 55 proposed resolutions, 49 were adopted.

Among other issues, delegates adopted resolutions calling for a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions by 2050, for the ratification of the Trans-Pacific Partnership agreement and for pension reform-positions that will serve as the basis for an ambitious advocacy agenda to be addressed with the new government. View the list of recommendations as adopted.

At the Conference, our Chamber was recognized
for its success in providing opportunities to keep our Young People in the community, offering education, mentorship & support for our members and promoting best business practices to bring our member companies to new levels of growth and excellence.

Thank you to everyone involved with the partnership process and Congratulations to fellow award winners Oakville Chamber of Commerce and Saint John's Regional Chamber!

Kindly,
