NEWS from ST. JOHN'S CHURCH
October 9, 2015
|
Dear Friends,
There is a wonderful song that was written to teach children a basic theological truth about the purpose of congregational life. On November 1st, All Saints' Sunday, we will sing this in our worship as we observe our first Sunday celebration of the children of our community. We will also be celebrating "Loyalty Sunday" as we finish up our stewardship campaign for our 2016 Mission Budget. So here are the lyrics:
I am the Church, You are the Church, we are the Church together.
All of God's People all around the world, we are the Church together!
The Church is not a building, the Church is not a steeple, the Church is not a resting place, the Church is the PEOPLE !
I am the Church, You are the Church, we are the Church together.
All of God's People, all around the world, we are the Church together!
See you this Sunday at worship.
