Recent Changes at TBBCF
Typically it's quiet at TBBCF during the first quarter. This year, however, that was not the case. Changes in the Walk Leadership Team and TBBCF staffing made for an active quarter.
In January, with a vacancy in the Walk Chair role, past walk chairs, Lisa Carroll, Pat Newborg and Ellen Swercewski volunteered to lead the 10th Anniversary Walk. In Ellen's words, "Lisa, Pat and I are very excited and honored to co-chair our 10th Anniversary Walk." It goes without saying that this was great news for the Foundation. More

TBBCF Bids Farewell to a Good Friend
In January, Mary DeVizia submitted her resignation as TBBCF Executive Director. Her resignation became effective February 7th. Mary is missed by all of us who had the pleasure of working with her during her time at TBBCF.
Mary brought great energy, ideas and results in her almost two years as Executive Director. We thank Mary for her leadership and partnership. We wish her the best and we know we still have a great supporter of TBBCF!

Cancer Survivor Sees Hope in Clinical Trials
Claudia Marks, a TBBCF walker and former Marketing Director of TBBCF was recently written up in an article written by Alison Davis and published in NIH (National Institute of Health) Record.
Claudia is a two-time breast cancer survivor and was recently diagnosed with stage IV esophageal cancer. Please read her story and her first comment under her story where she lists the symptoms of this cancer.

Logan's Promise
Logan's Promise honors its Founder, Norma Logan. Her promise in establishing this great organization was to direct 100% of gross fundraising dollars to breast cancer research and for the Foundation to be financially transparent so that everyone, from sponsors and donors to volunteers and walk participants, can plainly see that the organization is meeting its target. We are proud to bring you this edition of Logan's Promise.
