Calling all pumpkin painters to help Paint Main Street Niantic Pink!

There will be a pink pumpkin painting party at Smith's Acres on Tuesday September 29 at 6 pm to "Paint the Town of Niantic Pink" and they're looking for painters and pumpkins (any size).

You can bring a pumpkin to donate right to Smith's Acres at 4 West Main St, Niantic. These pink pumpkins will be used to decorate downtown during October for Breast Cancer Awareness Month in support of the 10th Anniversary Walk Across Southeastern CT. Last year, the walkers of the Terri Brodeur Breast Cancer Foundation's Walking Marathon really enjoyed all the pumpkins, some silly, some beautiful, all awesome!

Groton Regional Theatre Presents ... by Ellen Swercewski

I guess I have to admit my ignorance and tell everyone that I had not heard of the Groton Regional Theatre (GRT). Have you?

Whether you have or have not, we hope you'll learn a little more about them through this article, and please visit their website and their page on Facebook.

Coming in October, GRT is hosting a fundraising event for TBBCF with a repeat performance of the 2012 production of Richard O'Brien's Rocky Horror Show, which will be running on Friday, October 30 at 8 PM, and Saturday, October 31 at 7 PM and 11:59 PM.  That's right, an actual midnight showing!!  We are excited and honored that GRT chose our Foundation as beneficiary of this event.
