                                      UPDATE & ACCOUNCEMENT

Massachusetts Humane Society, Looking For A New Location
ON BEHALF OF OUR HOMELESS ANIMALS !

As our ending date on our lease gets closer and closer to June of 2016.  Massachusetts Humane Society Inc., Animal Shelter, moved into the Former Weymouth Dog Pound as a tenant and private animal shelter - on June of 2006.

The building is an municipal building, landlord/owned by the Town of Weymouth. Massachusetts Humane Society renovated the building in June, 2006, about $8,000.00 worth of work before we moved in. Now 10 years later the building is getting older and needs much needed work for the necessities to the structure of the building.
Such as the roof, Industrial heating system
(very expensive to operate), there is no insulation and no quality air flow, areas rusting and rotting out on the building and much more.  MHS is looking for a more stable and up-to-date building for our homeless animals.  Plus, the vandalism in the area has increased since then too.

MHS has dedicated diligently for 3 years looking, searching for a new location.  We are looking for reasonable rent, long term lease, about
1500 - 2000 sq ft, with parking.  For More Detail Information
about our SEARCH/NEEDS contact us and WE WILL MAKE IT WORK.

MHS wants to continue our dedicated tireless work for ALL OF OUR RESCUED HOMELESS ANIMALS, to have a new beginning and dream come true!  If you can donate to MHS so we can continue -- please do.
MHS is a 501 (c)3  tax deductible  organization.

If you have commercial/Industrial place for us to move into or know of any vacant buildings needing a responsible tenant or know of any
Realtors/Property Managers. Send the information right over, email to: m as[email protected]  or call 781-335-1300 leave a message - and WE will get right on it!

Kindly, Grateful

IN LOVING MEMORY & HONOR OF  *STELLA BELLA*

We are SO VERY SAD to inform you that **STELLA** has died. Stella had severe renal kidney failure, as we pro-longed her life for the last year or so with IV fluids. She was doing very well being Stella but then went into renal kidney failure very badly. Stella had the most amazing "green sea glass eyes" and her body markings were stunning. Stella loved to run around and was very talkative and loved her dry and wet food at feeding time. Stella was a kitten at heart from the time she came to MHS animal shelter.

Stella was surrendered because the house hold had a baby so Stella became "homeless/unwanted" and Mass Humane Society took her in. Stella Bella became our "baby" at MHS animal shelter !! Stella became one of the "MHS Kitty Gang"

Stella was about 5 years old when she came to us, and has been an MHS resident for about 7 years because she keeps getting passed by for other younger cats that were less feistier than her. MHS has lots of fun loving memories of Stella that will live on! We love you and will always miss you Stella Bella ! MHS

ADOPT ME - I AM READY!

I AM STILL WAITING FOR THAT SPECIAL DAY

Hi my name is Cindy - I am about 5 years old, dilute calico, spayed female, UTD on all shots, combo tested negative. I have been waiting for a home now, for over a year and keep getting passed by. I am a kitten at heart! I love love to play with cat toys. I can be "lively" at times - but I am a calico !!

I would do best as the only pet in the household, with an adult environment. I really get stressed out with all the cats at the shelter. I was abandon in a parking lot on a very hot day and almost got hit by a car. That was not a good day, thank goodness MHS took me into the shelter. But, now I am doing well and ready for a home to call my own to be safe and sound indoors. I just want to be loved and have a best friend(s).

Note: GREAT NEWS !! Cindy is now eating Science Diet Sensitive Skin Dry Food and Science Diet Wet Food.  She is doing very well with this food and you can buy the dry and wet food at Petco, Pet Supply Plus and PetSmart Stores.  Cindy's fee is $50.00 and we will give you a 8 lb bag of Science Diet Sensitive Skin Dry Food and 6 large cans of Science Diet wet food upon her adoption !

If your interested in Cindy, and can take her home to give her a new beginning in life - email [email protected] o r call - MHS 781-335-1300 and leave a message.
