Roman Verostko, C'55, S'59 Exhibits at Saint Vincent Gallery
It's not often that an art exhibition would be of equal interest to an artist, a philosopher, a geneticist, an art historian, a computer programmer, a theologian and a curious sixth-grader, among others. But a show at the Saint Vincent Gallery achieves that through works that seep across disciplines in a manner guided by ongoing inquisitiveness as opposed to the often-forced inter-disciplinary attempts that have been popular in recent decades. Read More in the Post-Gazette.

Bendel's Corner

Thanksgiving is easily one of my favorite and cherished holidays.

Bringing family together, sharing the stories of days gone by and just enjoying a wonderful meal overflowing with turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing and assorted vegetables...and maybe even watching four or five football games..."who could ask for anything more?"

At this time of the year I also want to say "thanks" to you for your ongoing support of Saint Vincent.  We all do it in different ways, but I know that at the core of your efforts is an admiration and love of the mission of the Benedictines.

In my role as the director of planned giving, if you have any thoughts about helping future generations of Saint Vincent students, don't hesitate to give me a holler.  Even as I recover from the meal prepared by my wife, Kathy, I would welcome a call from you to discuss your "thanksgiving" for Saint Vincent.

If you haven't yet, please take time to visit our  planned giving page.

Thanks for all you do!

Courtney E. (Buhl) Johnson, C'11
I chose Saint Vincent College for many reasons; however, some of the main reasons included the beautiful, inviting and safe campus, the friendly people I met there while visiting, the outstanding academic reputation of the science and education departments and the opportunity for spiritual growth as well as academic and personal growth. In my four years at Saint Vincent College, I learned so much about myself in addition to my major field of study, which was chemistry secondary education. I met people who are lifelong friends and have had such a positive impact on my life. I had the opportunity to work for the college as a prefect, which was such a rewarding experience, and I also participated in many of the extracurricular activities Saint Vincent College offers. My overall experience at Saint Vincent College is one that I will never forget and will cherish for the rest of my life.
