The Good Word
Lazarus House won an AT&T* "Investing in Illinois Award" for its non-profit work to help people in Illinois. Lazarus House will receive $1,000 from AT&T to be used to provide emergency shelter, transitional housing, and homeless prevention services to those in crisis.
 
"There are great non-profit organizations improving lives in Illinois. By supporting these organizations, we're strengthening the communities we serve," said Jaci Kator, external affairs manager, AT&T. 

Senator Karen McConnaughay nominated Lazarus House for the recognition from AT&T Illinois. The AT&T "Investing in Illinois Awards" provide resources and recognition to organizations and programs that improve lives in their communities and the state.

Ambassador of the Month
The Batavia Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to announce Nick Ninedorf as the November Ambassador of the Month! 

Nick Ninedorf, Financial Advisor for Edward Jones, is a committed Chamber Ambassador and shares the mission, goals and benefits of the Batavia Chamber of Commerce. Nick tirelessly contributes to the great success of the Chamber by volunteering his time on the Chamber's Board, co-chairing the Ambassador Program, and attending the Batavia Chamber's events. Nick is a hard-working Ambassador and has built his strong financial service utilizing the opportunities provided by the Batavia Chamber. Nick establishes rapport with members and serves the Chamber by his integrity and good will. Nick is very visible at Chamber functions and events and sets an example for a positive pro-business attitude by which we will all prosper. Nick's dedication, time, and effort are appreciated and highly valued by the Board of Directors, Chamber Staff, and Membership. Congratulations, Nick and thank you for your excellent work.

Last Call: Batavia Women in Business Luncheon
December 8, 11:30 - 1:00 PM

Batavia Women in Business will hold their special Holiday Networking Luncheon on December 8th. Participants are asked to bring either a toy or gift card to benefit the children in need of Batavia.

The BWIB has also introduced their 2016 Luncheon Punch Card open to Chamber Members.  Purchase 5 lunches and get 1 free. If you purchase at or before the Holiday Networking Luncheon, you will receive an additional $10 off ($150 value for $115). To purchase, call the Chamber office or visit the event link below.

Net-Working It!
December 16, 4:00 - 6:00 PM

Net-Working It! is a well attended "end of the work day" free and open networking event designed to help participants make new business contacts, develop potential new customers, and build exposure for their businesses. Appetizers will be served and a cash bar will be available.
